Easter Sunday
Another trip to the beach. Windy, no sun, and a little cold. No problem for tinyMovieStar, she has a lot of fun anyway 🥰
@ndreas It's a pretty big one, yes. In a town called Nazaré, not far from Lisbon.
The place has been getting some notoriety since an American big wave surfer came to town, and called it the biggest wave in the world. A lot of others followed, and soon documentaries were being shot. 100 Foot Wave is one of them.

@ndreas Glad to hear that 🙂 And, no, no surf for me. My surfing career ended very quickly, after I figured out I would never be a mildly decent surfer, and a broken board. I would say it lasted a summer, many years ago.
@maique The world feels like a very small place at times to me. It was only a week or so ago that my wife was sending me photos from Nazaré. She returns home this coming week having a wonderful in Portugal.
@crossingthethreshold Glad she had a wonderful time! The world is not that big, and this country is very small 🤣 Nazaré has been getting some press… In the old days not a lot of visitors, but even today, with lousy weather, it was packed.
@maique I hear Nazaré spoken a lot about here in Maui because of all the surfers here. It is one reason, probably the reason that my wife visited, otherwise she would be subject to questions like, "What do you mean you didn't visit Nazaré?!" 🤣 We have our own big wave here called Jaws. I don't surf, but Jaws looks pretty frightening.
@crossingthethreshold Jaws looks as scary as this one. And it’s been a classic for as long as I can remember.
Nazaré is worth a trip, if the wave is there. Otherwise I think there are other (many) places where your time is best spent. It’s a rather ugly town 🤣
