@mariovillalobos Many many years ago I was sent to Kosovo, but it was way before the huge mess really began, and later spent some time in East Timor, that was a little more intense.

But that was decades ago, I was young, and no tinyMovieStar around. Not even the regular sized movieStar!

At this stage I’m not interested in this type of work anymore. Not at all.

@pimoore I sent him the numbers of two others I feel will do a great job, much better than I would for sure, and I believe one of them is already packing.

Funny/strange sign of the times: in the old days we would go to these places if we were staff photographers at some paper who covered the story. These days they need a LOT more photographers to do the job, as TV and some radios also need photos for the sites and would rather have a photographer there, and not use the photos from the agencies.

@pimoore He is, thanks for asking. Yesterday he did go closer to one of the frontlines, but still very much safe.
