No sleep. A true story.

  1. tinyMovieStar goes to bed. It’s around 8PM, probably closer to 7.30PM. She sleeps.

  2. Around 1AM I decide to do the same, I’m exhausted.

  3. The little one wakes up 30 seconds later. That’s it.

  4. It’s now 2.30AM, everyone is still awake.

  5. Yay.

@maique oh noes! I hope you were able to get some sleep. Had a similar episode earlier this week. But he woke up only for a few minutes, while I was fully awake for almost the entire night..

@maique I found those early years so hard. It was difficult trying to be a super dad (and person, more generally) when I was so sleep deprived all the time. It does pass at some point.

@Omrrc @aa @ericmwalk @ohBananaJoe @pcora @adoran2 We were playing with the 'cubes', and reading, until close to 5AM. It was too late! She cried her heart out every time we tried to take her to bed. It ended a little later, when I held her in my arms, going back and forth, singing to her. She finally gave up and fell asleep.

At 8AM the alarm rang, as usual. We snoozed it for 30mins!

Thank you for the support, and have a great day! ☕️☕️☕️

@maique Embrace tinyMovieStars’s schedule. It makes life much easier and more restful. It’s the main reason I’m up around 4:30 - 5am these past couple years.

@jamesvandyne I wouldn’t mind getting up early, but these past couple of days (hope we get it sorted) she’s been going to bed at 7.30PM, and waking up full of energy at 1AM. Then back to sleep from 4/5AM until 8AM. Craze schedule to keep up.

@pratik That would be the best solution, yes. But I can’t find a way to go to bed at 8PM 😔

@maique I’m not a parent so my advice is worth what you paid for it. A friend told me “You have to sleep when the baby sleeps. Otherwise, you’ll never sleep.” I send you hopes that tonight’s sleeps go better.

@agilelisa Thank you so much. I try to, and manage a few daytime naps, when she’s napping as well. It gets a little harder in the evening, as her bed time is just too early for us.
