On the VPS front, server has been deployed, Docker installed, and I even got Apache2 as well, a simple webpage is being served. Not Uber geekiness, not by a LONG shot, but feels great anyway 😌

@mpmilestogo Thanks! I’ll tell you this: I’m a world class copy and paster! 🤣🤣
@maique Good work! I've been tempted to set up and play around with a VPS myself, I haven't taken the plunge yet though 😆
@jayeless It’s not hard at all. I’m struggling to find a use for it, though. I have pretty much everything I need already, hosted by someone, and this was supposed to be a learning experience, but it’s hard to find the time. If you have a clear idea about something you want to use it for, I’d say you go for it. It’s fun 😊
@mpmilestogo Wow, you really got your money’s worth out of that thing!! The wiki is one I’m sure I’ll try. Do you remember which one you played with?
@odd Saw that one, yep. Not sure if I need one at the moment. Might come in handy when we’re traveling, though… Thanks.
@mpmilestogo Thank you! Getting a bit late around here, but it's bookmarked and I guess tomorrow is Wiki Day... Hope you have a great evening, will check back tomorrow.
@jayeless you can try the Oracle Cloud Free Tier :) just deployed a Wireguard VPN server for split tunneling there. :)
@rom Another cool idea. I’ll look into all of this, and try to decide if it’s worth the money 😊 for now I’m just thrilled I managed to get, with a ton of help, @jamesvandyne’s Tanzawa running 😇
@rom My dad actually recommended I try the Oracle Cloud free tier, too 😆 I really am tempted!
@jayeless Well worth tinkering, IMHO. My iPhone is always connected to that Windscribe VPN server. :)
@maique My $5/mo VPS runs my kids' Minecraft Bedrock server and another Wireguard VPN server. :)
@maique ah, great! :) good luck! a bit trickier with Oracle since you will need to generate your SSH keys to access it.
@rom That's something I'll deal with tomorrow, probably. Their confirmation mail has yet to arrive, and the clock is ticking over here. Time to go to bed, the little one still can't drive/walk herself to school 🤣
