FastMail needs to steal more features from Hey. One thing that would be nice: the ability to annotate messages or threads — I think they’re called “stickies” in Hey. It would be great to add one to bills that said “Paid”.

One feature it had that I used all the time was the ability to edit the subject string (the one that appeared in the list of emails, not the original one in the email). You could add keywords or change it to something more useful (ever work with someone who always used “Stuff” for the subject?!). You could add “[paid]” to the subject line in seconds.
@the I've never used Eudora but the ability to modify the subject line would work too. I think that's also available in Hey, and probably another feature Fastmail should adopt.
@the Funny thing. While on the road today I passed a town called Eudora which triggered many fond memories of that app. I loved it!

@the Ohhh yes, was probably my third email client (1st mail on BSD Unix, second elm). I actually met Steve Dorner once and talked about Eudora.
