I wish more podcasters realise that there are other podcasting players than just Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
@martinfeld I'm currently using Pocketcasts, which works quite well for Android. I actually wish I could try Overcast though — I'm an avid listener of ATP and Under the Radar so I'm up to speed with the latest changes even though I'm not a user.
@lmika @martinfeld I imagine this is due those two being the only player/platforms that have the ability to leave reviews?

I probably should have put this in the original post, but I guess my gripe is more towards links that the podcasters post on the socials, such as Twitter. I saw one for a podcast that I wanted to listen to but they only had links to Spotify and Apple Podcasts, and not to their feed or website so I couldn't easily subscribe in Pocketcasts.
@lmika @Burk @martinfeld Our Hemispheric Views website has a bajillion customised links for all the podcast apps.
@lmika Will be interested to know how you like it. It’s queue management is so different than Pocket Casts.
@canion Yeah, that's exactly the way to do it: post a link to that page on the socials, so that listeners can follow the relevant link for their particular app (plus, already a subscriber to Hemispheric Views 🙌).
@mcg Yeah, I've heard a bit about it and it sounds interesting. Might be a good idea for a blog post after a try.
@lmika Some include Castro on the list, but not most. I always end up looking for the podcast, and scrolling down to find the episode I want.
@lmika The “find us on...” messaging has little to do with podcast players and everything to do with who aggregates podcast listings and offers a review system. Apple was the only one you’d hear about for years until advertising began in earnest and companies like Spotify started buying their way into the ecosystem.
