Start using a big 2020-at-a-glance wall calendar to manage a year full of conferences, cons, meetups and travel.

@macgenie The week before the shutdown here in San Diego I went to two social events -- which is a lot for me -- and surprised myself how much I enjoyed them. I said to myself, "I think my days as an extreme introvert are ended. I need to join community associations and get out more and socialize."
So I feel personally to blame for the 'rona.
@macgenie Whenever the meetups do happen, I definitely want to go. I can't wait to get back to Portland.
@macgenie I’ve marked my calendar for the meetup, though have never used Zoom, if that’s what you’ll use, and am not sure my bandwidth would support it without choking.
@dejus We'll try it out. It will probably be Zoom. We just figured it was time to see what happens if we do one!
@dejus @macgenie We've just come off a Zoom chat with friends. We have an ADSL connection and it was fine.
@dejus You can just dial in to Zoom on a regular phone line, if that's your only option. Or use streaming audio.
@Miraz @macgenie Good to know, thanks. My DSL is 12 Mbps down / 1 up, so struggles with any uploads.
@dejus you can also do just audio only on a zoom call from the computer - perfect when you hit bandwidth constraints.
