@pratik we average $75-80/week here so that’s basically three tanks of gas, which for a 1k miles seemed pretty good. 🤷🏽‍♂️

@pratik @sod IDK if that’s true. Gas goes up when we go to war, and if they were wars for oil, I’d expect the US would have gotten cushier deals from the oil (which we most certainly did not). The US taxes gasoline less, IIRC; and I think the price per gallon vs per liter has marginal effects that raise prices for Europe and lower them for the US since consumers since the psychology is cost/unit.

@lukemperez @pratik Yeah, taxes make up a huge chunk of the gasoline price here. 51.7 % as of last Friday.
