New reported Covid-19 cases via The New York Times. I wonder what this Omicron spike would like like without vaccines. The slope of that climb is incredible.
@Troydp @jthingelstad Yep, we’ve already reached testing capacity here, and they’re restricting PCRs to high risk individuals. So our case counts are absolutely under-reported and much higher in reality. The province has also run out of rapid tests last I heard, so it’s a real shitshow. Stay safe and healthy gentlemen.
@pimoore @Troydp @jthingelstad I’m also heartened by (1) the gap between case counts and hospitalization/deaths, and (2) we’ll hit peak by next week. So while caution still needed, there’s more optimism than with Delta and prior variants.
