Anybody using Apple Podcast app? Does it sync with the other devices, I.e., I can start on iPhone, continue on iPad and then HomePod and back?

@mroutley thanks. I have been a support of Overcast for quite awhile already, but I could not use it on the HomePod or Apple TV. Will try the Apple Podcast app and see how it goes. Thanks.
@mkhyns thanks. I guess we will have to see how reliable it'd be - hope that it does not to a point that it gets frustrating. :)
@rom I don’t, but if that’s a feature you’re looking for, Overcast does that. I would suspect Castro does too (a lot of folks I follow use Castro, but I’m too wedded to Overcast to switch).
@rom huh. I don’t have homepod, so missed that. I wonder if Marco Arment has that in the works. Seems like it could (should?) be relatively straight forward. I have an Echo, so always reported to streaming via bluetooth, which isn’t bad, but definitely not what your after.
@lukemperez guess that being able to play on the HomePod and sync it with the rest is a nice-to-have feature. :)
@rom So I downloaded Castro today to experiment since I’ve not really looked at alternatives to Overcast in maybe 10 years. One big flaw is that as far as I can tell, there is no native iPad app. It just opens in the phone layout on my iPad. Overcast, alternatively, has a full app layout for ipad and syncs across those devices (and so far, I can’t seem to figure out how to get Castro to sync across iPhone and iPad).
@lukemperez Castro is a single-device app, with no sync. That's why I gave up on it. Used Pocket Casts for about 9 months, then back to Overcast.
@canion yeah. Too bad. I like the UI and the side load feature is cool. But after a day, back to Overcast.
