@lmika Fun fact: Dubrovnik plays the city of King’s Landing in Game of Thrones. There used to be no white pigeons there but in GoT they had a royal wedding and imported plenty. Show runners thought they’d just fly back home, but they settled in. Now Dubrovnik has white pigeons because of a TV show.

@ZeroOne Oh really! I do know that if pigeons are kept in a new place for some period of time, they consider it their new home. It’s not immediate, but their desire to home can be reset. That must’ve been what happened here.

Learnt this from my uncle who used to keep pigeons. He told this to someone he was selling them to, who didn’t heed his advice, let them out too early, and the pigeons flew back to my uncle. 😄
