Been asked to do a routine task today. This is the fifth time I’ve started it, the fifth time I said to myself “hmm, I should probably automate this,” and the fifth time I just did it manually. Now wondering if that was time well spent.

@lmika I’ve come to the conclusion that I should not think about automation as actually saving my time but more about reducing errors in a repeated task. As doing the automation always takes at least twice as much time as you think it will. But when you have it will make sure that the task is not forgotten or is done wrong.
