It’s a bit frustrating that iOS treats all apps as if they’re info-scraping, money-grabbing, third-class citizens. How many times do I have to grant clipboard access to NetNewsWire before they realise that yes, I actually trust the app developer?

@lmika This applies to Safari’s treatment of websites as well, with their ridiculous purge of cookies and stored data after 7 days, no exceptions.

@lmika Except for, you know, the literal casinos which target children. Or, you know, the scammy weekly subscription apps. Or, you know, the democracy-corrupting soul-harvesting advertising platforms.

Those are all fine to do as they wish.

@lmika It certainly seems like that is how Apple thinks — I continue to be baffled by the mediocre effort they put forward to genuinely support the same indie devs they claim to care so much about.
