Don’t like becoming a “regular” at cafes. It’s nice while you’re going there, but you ineviably move on and start going someplace else. But your new place closes for New Year’s Eve, and since the old one is the only one open, you go back for your coffee. It always feels awkward.

@rcrackley Ooh, yeah, I didn't even consider how it would be for barbers. Fortunately the barber I go to has so many customers they don't remember any of them. 😅

@lmika I kinda had that when I moved out of my parents' house. I think one time Viv and I stopped off at our usual place in their suburb to pick up some coffees when we were heading over for a visit, and we had to explain why we weren't coming regularly any more 🤣 Awkward, maybe, but I don't think they begrudged us for it...

@jayeless Yeah, I hope they're understanding about it, and that they're secure with their current customer base that one less patron will not cause an issue. Or they just forget about it and the relationship effectively resets (this is how I hope today went).
