@lmika One possible complication for those outlets would be that, from what I've heard, Apple is pretty ruthless about not issuing press invites to their events to outlets that've given them bad coverage. Good outlets might want to put the pressure on them over their bad decisions, but if it comes at the cost that everyone else will be "scooping" them at product release time, I can imagine a lot of editorial teams having reservations 😕
@jayeless Yeah, I didn't consider the press invites. I'd imagine they'd want to be there when the next iPhone is revealed. I guess the issue is that Apple seems to hold all the cards at this stage, and the press will more-or-less need to stay within the range of acceptable talking points until that changes. Not a great position to be in, I'd imagine.
