I was feeling a bit under the weather yesterday so I got a Covid-19 test. In July 2020, when I last had a test, it took me 5 days to get the results. Yesterday, I got the results in 9 hours (it was negative). Really impressed by how well testing improved over the last year.
@lmika That is fast! When I had to be tested a couple of weeks ago, I think my turnaround time was ~32 hours, but that was when they were at the peak of how many tests they had to process, IIRC. At any rate, glad you presumably do not have Covid 😉
@jayeless Yeah, after hearing workmates and family take their tests, it feels like the usual turnaround time is next-day. Maybe the recent testing surge opened up some extra capacity to get tests results through quickly. Just glad it wasn't the full expected duration like last time.
Also, yeah, glad I don't have Covid 😀
