@jthingelstad I also recently started down the Obsidian rabbit hole. I love the Daily Note. I use it (imagine this) daily via a template. I’m going through Mac Sparky’s field guide on it and learning a lot. I know there’s a lot more I can do with it but I’m still learning.

@greghiggins If you favor learning via the YouTube route, Nicole van der Hoeven has the best videos on #Obsidian www.youtube.com/@nicolevd.

@jthingelstad Learning #Obsidian has been the most enjoyable tech journey I've taken in years. There's such a robust collection of resources available and Obsidian people are super helpful!

@jthingelstad 2 pieces of advice that I have learn't the hard way. Don't go down the rabbit hole of building a system for everything in Obsidian just because you can ( you can see that on YouTube without looking too hard). Don't take notes for the sake of taking notes (I still break this all the time!) 😅 I love Obsidian and couldn't imagine life without it.

@greghiggins It sounds like we are on the same journey with the same guides! 😎

@amerpie that is great and hearing that others have found value at the end of the journey is a big reason why I’m diving in.

@lewism thank you! MacSparky shares a similar comment particularly around task management. OmniFocus will stay core for me, and Drafts is an integral part of my workflow and will stay.
