@czottmann Any left? Looks full of potential.
@ohBananaJoe Depends on your POV. I see a lot of potential plus lots of stagnation, in a site that has waaaaay too much going on at any time, visually. Personally, I think it's terrible, but I also know that there are many people who just like it the way it is. Nothing wrong with either. "Live and let live" and all that. 🖖🏼
@czottmann I’ve been on the wait list for awhile and was just now able to skip the line. Thanks for the invite!
@czottmann how is Goodreads terrible? I’ve heard tat complaint many times before but I still don’t understand the dissatisfaction aside from being owned by Amazon.
@axel Sorry, nope, I only had 3 of them and they're all gone. Maybe @MicroDenbow can help — do you have an invite left, maybe?
@josephaleo I find it terribly cluttered. The book detail pages especially are a mess, IMHO. I suppose it depends on what you want to get out of GR; personally, I'd like to track my reading but I find GR overwhelming as it tends to bombard me with everything about and related to the book in question (editions, series, readers, comments, reviews, quotes, trivia etc.).
¯_(ツ)_/¯
@czottmann yeah, I’m usually blind to those functions and only see them when I’m actively looking for them. Otherwise, I use GoodReads to log my books. There’s nothing wrong with similar services, but h there’s nothing they offer that gets me excited or feels like they provide a superior experience to GoodReads.
@MicroDenbow I made use of an invite, then immediately realized maybe that wasn’t kosher. Sorry!
@czottmann and anyone else in this thread
