I’m looking for a potential replacement for Fantastical. They are raising their subscription prices and unfortunately I think they are now priced too high for the features I use. The main feature I’ll miss from them the most is the natural language processing for event entry.

@shep Several years back I started using Siri for adding items to my calendar or reminders and it's worked flawlessly for at least the past couple of years.

@Denny interesting. Maybe I should give that a try for a bit.

@shep is Fantastical moving to a subscription only? If not, the free version suits me just fine.

@Denny same, except anything saved to Reminders automatically gets saved to OmniFocus. I love that feature.

@josephaleo they haven't said that. I forgot they offered a limited feature set for free because I've been a subscriber since they've offered. I'll have to check what features are limited to subscription.

@shep Let me know what you find! I've also liked the automatic Zoom link feature.

@shep I think the main selling point for Fantastical’s subscription fee is their scheduler and calendar groups. Those are useful features, but not necessary for my use. Depending on your requirements, I think the free version will do you fine.

@bolen Not yet, but I haven't really been looking that hard either. I may just revert to stock calendar app.

@bolen I used busysync way back in the day before busycal or fantastical existed. I may have to check out busycal again.

@craigs @bolen I just wish the iOS app had natural language support like the Mac app does.
