I needed some Tai Chi pictures so my sister helped me out with a little photo shoot. This is one of my favorites.

@heyloura that’s a great shot. How long have you done Tai Chi?

@heyloura Great shot! I really need to work on my flexibility, (among other things).

@lukemperez I started when I was 17 and I've kept with it since then, a bit off and on with university and parenting. So the total time is probably around 15 years 😊

@odd Thank you! It's a hard thing to keep up 😊 I try to do some stretching 10-15 min everyday and I'm getting to the point where I probably need to do some more.

@heyloura I used to do stretching as an exercise for a couple of years, and I got noticeably more flexible, but that was…um…almost 35(!???) years ago now. I will work it into my weight loss project somehow. A lot of it is common sense, but I think I’ll reread the book I have, to be sure I’m not hurting myself.

@odd Yeah, I feel similar about strength training. I need to start factoring it in, but I don't want to hurt myself in the process.

@heyloura @odd Awesome picture! I’m going to start some Yoga and minor core work next week as I start to try and take a bit better care of myself and drop some weight. Maybe I’ll look into some Tai Chi as part of my explorations as well!

@DaveyCraney Thank you! I love a good yoga session. There are lots of good ones on youtube (though I like in person better, keeps me accountable). Let me know if you try out some Tai Chi, there are lots of studies on its health benefits 😊
