Our cultivated native California Grapes are coming along very nicely. Same can’t be said for our new cherry tree (more on that later perhaps) 🌱
@kurite I was going to ask if California Grape was related to Oregon Grape that I've been noticing a lot here in the UK. However a quick google tells me it isn't - yours is a true grapevine (Vitis), whereas Oregon Grape is actually a Mahonia that produces grape-like berries.
@HauntedRadiator I remember running in to Oregon Grape all the time during field work in northern Oregon — didn’t care for its spiny leaves so thankfully it isn’t vining! I’m too far south in California for Oregon Grape.
