@gregmorris Can’t wait to see more of this. There are now two(!) native third-party apps for Mb in development. Always thought I would have to do it myself someday, but maybe not! 😅
@jarrod that’s awesome news though! I’m making this just for me tbh but who knows where it will end up.
@gregmorris Micro Social looks fantastic! Great job with the threading UI.
It’s inspiring to see the birth of a new app, even though it’s in the midst of some worrisome drama.
I’m working on something similar, a project I’ve dubbed Mikro. (I think I might be the “other guy” as @jarrod so eloquently put it 😄).
I’d love the chance to share any knowledge I might have accumulated, though I’ve been struggling to come up with blog post ideas about the development.
If you’re up for it, perhaps we could try out a pen-pal-style conversation between our blogs? Each post could answer a question from the other and end with posing a new one. Maybe we could discuss how we’ve solved specific issues, approached designing a particular view, or tackled big-picture questions like structuring a codebase.
I’ve never done anything like this before, but it could be the push I need to blog more in English and share more about the development of Mikro. 😊
PS: No pressure at all if this doesn’t appeal to you—I completely understand. Either way, great work so far with the app!
PPS: I would have preferred to ask this privately to avoid public pressure, but I couldn’t find an email address on your site. If there’s a better way to reach out in the future, feel free to let me know!
