@klickreflex @bennorris So you recommend it, right? I read his other two books, but not this one, yet.
@danielsantos yes, absolutely. Just like the Martian I couldn’t put it down (or rather stop listening in this case, the audiobook was well read). Also I liked it way more than Artemis.
@klickreflex Nice! When I read The Martian, I couldn’t help but love Andy Weir’s work. It was unputdownable, in fact. Artemis, though, didn’t live to its predecessor. Glad to hear Project Hail Mary is better ❤️
@danielsantos yea, same for me. It’s been a while, but I remember Artemis as trying too hard to be funny.
@danielsantos I completely agree with @klickreflex. Definitely recommend Project Hail Mary. I remember finishing the Martian and thinking, “Wow, what an experience. I wonder what he’s up to now. Oh wait, this is in the future. Oh wait…” 😊 Artemis was fun but a bit of a letdown after the Martian. Hail Mary was possibly even better than the Martian.
@bennorris @klickreflex gosh, gotta make it come up some positions in my reading queue then :) btw do you guys use The Storygraph to keep track of reading?
@danielsantos @klickreflex No, I hadn’t heard of that. I actually use Epilogue, which is part of the Micro.blog family of apps, and then record the books I read in Day One.
@danielsantos No, I kinda gave up on tracking books outside of Readwise (which I use to capture highlights across all my reading, though mostly useful for non-fiction), however I like the simple approach of tracking and writing about books here on MB.
@bennorris @klickreflex I didn’t know about Epilogue! I guess I’m going to try it later. I knew about the possibility to track books in mb, though… now I’m actually wondering if it is possible to customize a page in my mb generated site to display my book covers in their respective shelves :)
