I am beginning to try blot.im. Does anyone else use it? What are your thoughts?

@klandwehr I hadn’t heard of it until you mentioned it, but I like the idea. It makes publishing blog posts super easy. Publishing a post to my site is a multi-step process, and it’s becoming a hinderance to actually posting.

@klandwehr I don't use it, but I look to it enviously. I think it is a great system that is really well implemented. It removes almost all friction from posting if you are already down with saving work in plaintext.

@klandwehr nice - reminiscent of @dave thinking (if not implementation) files in folders displayed on a web site - change the file, change the web site. I had never heard of it - but will keep it in mind for when I finally get on top of all the other stuff I have going on!

@hisaac yeah that's my problem also, the more steps there are to post, the less likely i am to post. That is what is making blot.im so intriguing

@klandwehr I used Blot for my blog for a while, and it's terrific. I ended up back with Hugo but still keep the Blot blog around because it's such a great system. Responsive developer and super-easy publishing.

@klandwehr I had not heard of it before. It sounds interesting, and a lot like asocialfolder.com

I’ll have to take a look at it.

@jmreekes asocialfolder looks neat. I’m now on the waitlist. Any tips for getting a bump/invite?

@klandwehr Had a look and seemed at lot like the old scriptogr.am (which never really got there, but appears to be coming back), great system but you don’t host yourself and for me no geotagging, so a minus. Still considering spelt.io (for Mac).

@hall I am the opposite I need something that will work on the iPad Pro and geo-tagging is not a big thing for me. However if it was I could understand why blot.im would be a no go.

After a good night of sleep I started looking through this conversations and I have to admit that I have been introduced to possibilities I was not aware of like scriptogr.am, spelt.io, Hugo and asocial folder. Thanks for leading me further down this rabbit hole @hall, @jmreekes, @jack @eli

@klandwehr I can micro.blog at the moment from my iPhone to Yellow using Textastic, but ideally would like to use the micro/Micron iOS App - so working on a method to post to a flat-file system (as Yellow) and not Wordpress.

@hall awesome to see folks using Yellow! I used to run my site off of it. I've been thinking of trying to convert my micropub endpoint to support yellow, but haven't had much luck with that, yet.
