@jayeless Sometimes I think One Day Cricket combines the best of both worlds, but the drama of Test Cricket is unbeatable. I really hope it will survive.
@klagefall Yes, agreed. If I, personally, had to pick one of the formats to lose, then T20 is the one I find least enjoyable – but I also see it's how important it's been for revitalising cricket for kids these days (when I was a kid, pretty much no other kid liked cricket…). Really I hope all the formats can find a place, but it might well take some extra support for some of the smaller cricketing nations to make that happen.
@jayeless Yes, time, waiting and patience are actually part of the game and it is least present in T20.
In my country, unfortunately, cricket is almost non-existent, although it has improved in recent years due to immigration. The other day I saw street cricket for the first time in my city.
@klagefall Honestly, to see a street cricket game in a country that doesn't traditionally play cricket at all is pretty cool 😄 Hopefully the game continues to grow there in years to come. I've heard of that starting to happen in Canada – where Indian immigrants used to begrudgingly start following baseball instead, younger generations are holding onto cricket and slowly growing the game there.
