“I completely ignored the front end development scene for 6 months. It was fine”

There must be some phrase or idiom that describes the phrenetic circle-running that passes as progress in web development.

@baldur This is good to hear from people I respect . I’m the primary childcare/homemaker person in my household and work only part-time freelance hours from home without a lot of communication with other developers. I have to be very choosy about what new things I follow and constantly feel behind.

@jonesbp I even think that it can sometimes work to your advantage. A lot new stuff in web dev doesn't last long or takes longer to become useful than expected so waiting a bit can actually be a productive filter. 🙂
