@philbowell re: “I already have a large pile of books to I’ve yet to read…” I believe my purchasing of books signals to the publisher I want more of these kinds of books to exist, even if I don't read them. And there's the antilibrary concept - www.brainpickings.org/2015/03/2... So, maybe the unread pile isn't really a Bad Thing™.

@philbowell That book has interested me as well! I even own it. Unfortunately I’ve been great at making excuses: “I’ll read it with my wife.”, “I’ll read it when I have more time”, etc. I definitely need to just do it. Seeing your post inspired me to put it on top of the list.

@kitt “Read books are far less valuable than unread ones. The library should contain as much of what you do not know as your financial means…allows” That is really interesting. Never thought of it like this before!
