Tara Westover’s Educated just became available to borrow from our library after a nearly 6-month hold. So I’ll be reading that one next. With that, my hold queue is finally empty for a change 📚

@pratik my "long hold time" suggestion: when you can travel again, take a road trip in your state, stopping by as many big city libraries as you can. Texas library card requirements are mostly "state resident." With these cards in hand, next time a book you're interested in has a long wait time, you can check the other libraries for shorter times. :)
@kitt Thanks for the tip. I have added my F-i-L's card on Libby (he lives in Houston). Those books however were on long hold lists everywhere.
@pratik :( Locally I can borrow it from 3 different libraries. I'm guessinf regional differences in reading tastes?
@kitt You would be surprised that print books can be available much sooner. I always make sure to put a hold on all formats and borrow the one that's available first.
