Electric demand is outstripping supply due to record low temps here which also knocked some power plants offline. 5th outage just now. Power on for 40 minutes then off for 20 minutes. Tomorrow will be worse with temp ~0F. Can’t reply with an image so posting… @khurtwilliams

@khurtwilliams No one understands it and ERCOT has no answers. And everything they have said has proven false. While 0F is a record low for the date it isn’t even an overall record low. Based on their own graphs of demand and production the problem is a huge drop in production. They are even claiming nuclear power plant production fell. Politicians are already making it clear heads will roll but of course that does nothing to fix a problem that looks like it will last for several more days.
