Decided to write about blogging platforms and tools, specifically, why I have stuck with #Jekyll and barely changed stuff on my end for almost 5 years!

@joel nice. Jekyll is a great static site builder, we used it for the OpenSearch Project until we donated everything to the Linux Foundation. (now it's wordpress)

I've considered Jekyll for my own sites, but, at least for the time-being have gone with bearblog. It's been really low maintenance and a good user experience.

@joel I remember reading Vercel doesn't have native Codeberg integration, but it has Woodpecker CI which is like GitHub Actions workflow. Should be similar to my recenty move to SourceHut! Without native support from Bunny.net, I still managed to get it to play nicely with sr.ht. Good luck with the move... It's worth it (imo)! #GiveUpGitHub

@joel When my website was still on Vercel, I used their CLI to deploy it.

@joel I really enjoyed my years on Jekyll. Itโ€™s a great piece of software and if I were ever to go back to an SSG, it would be Jekyll. But Iโ€™m still very happy with Kirby and donโ€™t see myself moving any time soon. ๐Ÿ™ƒ
