@thelinuxcast@polymaths.social I think that's a good move. I killed comments years ago after a similar struggle. Then when they were working, I'd have to deal with spam. Putting a simple "email me" button after my posts was the best thing I ever did - I get many more useful engagements as a result. Far more than any comment system could provide. Of course YMMV, but it's worked great for me.

I've decided after weeks of struggling, that there will be no comments on my blog. There are just no good options. If I were still on Mastodon, I think I could get those working, but GtS doesn't work with it. I've tried everything under the Sun. None do a great job the way I want this to work.

I may come back to this some day, or maybe create a Mastodon account just for my blog so there are comments. But we'll see. Right now, I just want to be done with this.
