Do you feel like you need a nap even after the most energizing of video calls? How do y’all who have 9-Zoom days or whatever deal? Do you just drink a lot of black tea? What’s up? After just one call, even or perhaps especially an awesome one, I’m ready to hide for a few hours.

@bix I experience some sensory processing issues and this is different for me, though I can't speak to anyone else's experience. I feel this way with F2F meetings, too. When I worked in an office, after most meetings I would work in my office with the door closed for the rest of the day.

@AlanGMarz Everything is on a screen and everything is in the same place. I really appreciate it when people say "We don't work from home, we live at work."

@kimberlyhirsh I feel like I am constantly recovering from Zoom Fatigue these days. (I have multiple virtual meetings every workday, sometimes as few as 3, and sometimes as many as 9.) I also have perfected the 90-minute nap after my workday ends!

@cygnoir I am SUPER lonely and especially longing for my friends who live at a distance, but also wary of offering video chat as a way to connect because of this. Maybe it's time to bring back sending long, heartfelt emails, because... USPS.

@kimberlyhirsh Same. I really miss all of my friends, but cannot stand the thought of video chat to connect with anyone right now. A dear friend of mine suggested Rambly but I haven't tried it yet.

@kimberlyhirsh don’t know if it’s doable for you, but I try to do all my meetings within a couple days. I find it helps to just do them all and get it done with and have a few days to recover and do other work.

I also keep video turned off. I find it helps. At least I appreciate being able to pace and change chairs or get up to grab something, etc without breaking the flow of the other person when they’re speaking.

@justinhudgins I actually think that would be harder for me - I currently try to have no more than one a day; I have standing meetings on Tuesday and Wednesday and am currently limiting myself to only one other meeting a week. Thanks for the ideas!

@kimberlyhirsh Fair enough! Everyone’s got to find what works for them. I hope you‘re able to find a meeting schedule that doesn‘t make you feel so fatigued! 🙏🏻
