Denote on Emacs is the only note system that can keep up with me. I keep wanting to use TiddlyWiki, but it’s too distracting; I want to change the colors, the font, add a log as to why I did a certain thing… my brain is too wired to resist. Denote keeps me focused.

@jtr Yeah. I’m moving into denote at present. The more I learn, the more impressed I am.
Gonna be learning a lot more dired I think. Going to have to re-work my TODO workflow. ATM I capture most TODOs to a date-structured diary.org. Maype keep with links to notes as needd?

@eludom Denote has good integration with Dired, and if you consider using it, I suggest starting with Denote’s naming convention. Not just notes - renaming important files with the Denote naming scheme.

@jtr Whenever someone mentions using either denote or org-roam for note-taking I’m always curious to know: did you try org (on its own) first?
