Guuhhhhh, I’m getting desperate here.

Does anyone know of a way to export an Excel sheet to a clean table in HTML? Saving a sheet to htm (it’s not HTML in Excel) file shoves all kinds of style elements into the code that ruins it.

@jtr Oh, also, it looks like you can copy and paste into Typora and it will convert to Markdown then you can export. That's a Mac, Windows and Linux app with a free trial. typora.io

@Denny Hmm not really - when I copy the cells from Excel and paste them there, they are pasted as lines with spaces, not as tables.

What did help though is Pandoc... after I saved to CSV. I still had some shading issue, but that was simple enough to take out in the code with some regex. It's not quick and easy, exactly, but it kind of worked. For now.
