@DaveyCraney I like to think that keeping things fresh is generally a good choice, so kudos! Of course, I'm using mechanicals (hats and sunglasses) to spare the world a visage battered by recurring clashes with reality, so I think considering yourself brave, as well, is not off the mark. Side question: did the pandemic actually reduce local colors to greytones? ❥ ♜ ❤︎
@DaveyCraney Looking sharp sir, and that beard is on point. What did you use to take this, as the quality is unreal?
@bkryer I agree, fresh is best! Where I live is actually very lush and colourful but as I age I find myself dealing with grey tones more and more 😉
@pimoore Why thank you! Believe it or not this is a shot from my iPhone 14 Pro Max that I then put into Photomator, filtered to black and white and then tweaked the contrast/exposure etc a bit.
Amazing what phones cameras can do now 🤳
@kq I think like a lot of photography, it's the lighting and the framing I think.
I shot this on my iPhone 14 Pro Max but it's in our Sun room right next to a huge window on a sunny day, and against a very neutral background.
making me slightly off centre in the frame helps make the shot seem more interesting as well, then I made it black and white in photomator and tweaked the levels a bit to bring out more detail (aka wrinkles 😆)
@DaveyCraney you inspired me to take a selfie, and perhaps try more of those in the future. Well played sir!
@DaveyCraney It truly is amazing. My back and forth debate with myself whether I should ever bother getting an actual camera continues—this is the reason why.
