I am looking at your page: json.blog/archive/
… and had a go at replicating on my site: john.philpin.com/my-archiv… (very much a WIP - focussed on functionality at moment)
the big difference is that my page is pulling 25 or so posts and that is it.
i have attempted to pull the whole shebang and what ever i do fails.
Any particular tricks / advice you might offer?
@JohnPhilpin if you’re going to show actual post content, I think it’ll be a pretty brutal page to not paginate. Mine really works because it just pulls titles, but even then, it probably should get paginated. Unfortunately, there’s not a great way to do that by year or month automatically. This is not up to date, but probably has enough of what’s going on with my site to get some ideas on how I approached this for both my home page and archive page.
@jsonbecker i was definitely going to paginate - and am restricting amount of text - i like the image in there - but maybe not - want to get it working and then work out the best way - thank you for the link.
