Why do I want to post? json.blog
@jsonbecker I think you’ve really delineated what’s going on with blogs and social media here. Every person has to figure out their own needs and then choose what works best. I can get a bit Own Your Data evangelist and rigid with my own set-up and I don’t think it serves me to do so. Thank you for something to think through and thanks to @pratik for starting the conversation.
@KimberlyHirsh I definitely have the things that I care about a lot, and those haven’t really changed. And they are values I think more people do and/or should share, so I’m happy to evangelize those. But I keep learning over and over again to never enter a discussion to yuck someone’s yum– it’s fine that they need/want different things in the end.
@jeknotes that’s true too! We can assume that function follows form. I think there’s absolutely truth to that– but it is also the case that we can individually work against that form for ourselves. Or not, and act accordingly.
