My son and I have had friction homeschooling this year. So yesterday morning we spent two hours brainstorming what to do and when he was last really happy with school. Turns out he was happiest when he read all the time. So we’re adjusting and adding in his wonderful choices ❤️📚

A pile of books on a table. Books are a variety of nonfiction and fiction texts including titles like the “Once and Future King” and “Charles Darwin and the Voyage of the Beagle”

@heyloura That's a pretty impressive bunch of books. Has he read Homer and Virgil?

@ReaderJohn No Virgil yet but we did read a children's version of the Odyssey and Iliad together when he was younger. He also devoured the graphic novel versions by Gareth Hinds. Probably read them six times each. If he decides to keep homeschooling in highschool they'll be on his reading list (or he can just help himself to my bookshelf 😊)

@heyloura Depending on his age, he might like Bea Wolf, a graphic novel rendition of Beowulf.
