What’s the best treatment of the Aqedah (Genesis 22, Abraham asked to sacrifice Isaac) that you’ve ever read?

@joshuapsteele Walter Moberly has written a good bit on it. You may want to see his Theology of Genesis. I would also suggest Richard Middleton's very interesting work, Abraham's Silence.

@joshuapsteele It is definitely worth looking at Søren Kierkegaard's Fear and Trembling.

@mwerickson We read that back in seminary, might have to dig it out again!

@mwerickson I would second the recommendation of Fear and Trembling. I often have my seminary students read it when processing all of the complex issues that could be imagined in that passage.

@joshuapsteele Yet to find one that works for me. I suspect Chris E W Green has preached one. But I don’t have anything to link to.
