After my return to California, my totally scientific empirical analysis is that “woke” states make better beer. Sorry.

@chipotle IPAs are huge in San Diego. Beer snobs hate ‘em, but I like them just fine.

@josephaleo I've come to like them, in part due to the brewery I was at earlier today (Shadow Puppet). There's a San Diego brewery, Mike Hess, I like a lot, too—they have a location up in Walnut Creek I went to a lot during the pandemic, since they had a huge outdoor patio.
