A podcast I was listening to mentioned a book that sounded interesting, so I checked the Kindle bookstore to see if I could buy it. Well, not only did I already buy it ages ago, it has been sitting in my library all this time and I barely started reading it.

@lmika haha. That sounds like something I would do. Preparing to read a book but then forgetting I had it. Actually, I have done that.

@lmika @Munish @ridwan Just this morning, I was looking for a different book and I found Alice Munro’s Runaway, which I’ve been meaning to read since I saw the Almodovar film. I thought, “I didn’t know I had that. How long have I had it?” Then I remembered: I bought it when I was last in Dublin — 2 weeks ago.

@artkavanagh @Munish @lmika I guess it’s easier to buy books on Kindle and completely forget about it. I buy books on Daily Deals and it’s quite hard to not grab on to them when a somewhat interesting book is priced at 99p. 🙈

@ridwan It’s true. I deleted the Kindle app (and my Amazon account) some time ago but I still have books in Apple Books that I’ve totally forgotten about and will probably never get around to reading.

@artkavanagh @Munish @lmika Yeah, so true. I wish I could say this was the only time this happened to me. I'll have to check but it may have been like the third or fourth time. Amazon certainly made it way too easy to buy Kindle books.

@josephaleo It was Rework. The podcast I was listening to was The Rework Podcast. They're going through a chapter of this book a week at the moment.

@artkavanagh One thing I have started to do is create a spreasheet of my ebooks. It helps me to review my TBR and make sure I read at least a few.
