The Rowan seem redder this year. Certainly more berries than usual.

@johnjohnston Here in Oslo too. There are old sayings that both say it’s a sign of much snow the coming winter, and very little snow. The ones that say it’s going to be little snow claim it’s because the trees can’t bear the burden of both the many berries and the snow. What the others reason is, I’m not sure about.

@odd here they used to say a lot of berries was a sign of a hard winter to come, as the extra berries would feed the birds.
