@johnjohnston Sounds interesting! After "Mexican Gothic", I've been interested in trying more gothic novels (because like you it wasn't part of my usual rotation), and this sounds like just the thing.

@jayeless I suspect Scottish gothic is damper and more gloomy than the Mexican type😀 I got Pine for 99 pence on kindle and it turn out to be a bargain.
