I’m surprised to see how little Bono has to say about Zooropa 🎵 in Surrender. 📚 I didn’t appreciate it enough when released, and it has become one of my favorite U2 albums.

@johnchandler I would read the book. I remember buying War in 1983 and have been a fan my whole life. If you allow a little more bragging - I have seen them live around 12x - of course that is nothing compared to all of the real fans. haha.

My point is that in the 1990s their current trifecta (Achtung, Zoo, Pop) were my least fav. But by the 2000s - I began to understand them and the creative effort. Zoo might not have been a huge $ success but the music held up for me.

@terrygrier Well...I am reading the book! It's chronological for the most part so it seems like he barely mentions Zooropa unless he returns to it in the final few chapters. That said, I loved Achtung all the way, listented to Zooropa, but didn't love it until years later, and was somewhat apathetic about Pop. Trying to rediscover that one. :)

@terrygrier Ha... no offense taken. I just didn't read it the right way. But thanks for the suggestions about Pop.
