@Ron Not being a smoker, I had no idea what you meant. The ashtray was just on the table when I sat down. Just shows that we can look at something and not see it.
My hometown in the north of England is but a few miles from the town of Chesterfield and I thought that was the connection.
@johnbeverley A childhood friend of mine, recently passed on, was retired and living in a Chesterfield just south of St. Louis. RIP! Phil had an amazing memory, including very detailed stories about our friends going all the way back to grade school. Even in his 70's he enjoyed telling us his hall locker number AND the combination to the lock at our junior high school which had been retired as a school decades ago.
