Can anyone recommend a blog platform that would be good for an eleven year old? We’re going on a month long trip and I’m thinking a travel blog so her teacher and classmates can read it while she’s away… but it’s got to be as frictionless as possible or she’ll never use it. iPad friendly?

@herself micro.blog would be a good pick. My class of 9-11 year olds use WordPress. The mostly use it for words and pictures. We find it fine. Takes the younger ones a while to get confident.

@herself It is web based, but it works quite well on mobile and you can install as a Home Screen app for maximum app-like experience. You can test it out for free!

@herself pika.page seems perfect, especially with their fun guestbook feature, where friends could send or draw a message to her. And if you’re not connecting your own domain right away, you can try it for free up to 50 blog posts.
