The Pixel 2 that I am using has a 5.0-inch screen with 145.7 x 69.7 x 7.8 mm physical dimensions and 143 grams of weight. The just announced Pixel 4a has a larger 5.81-inch screen but the physical dimensions are 144 x 69.4 x 8.2mm and it also weighs 143 grams. In other words, the 4a is ... frankmcpherson.blog

@frankm the Pixel 4 has a 5.7 in screen with 147.1 x 68.8 x 8.2 mm physical body and weighs 162 g.

I like that Google has kept the regular Pixel roughly the same size since the 2 because, to me, it is the ideal phone size.

@joelhamill I’ve really not had a reason to replace the Pixel 2 but it goes EOL at the end of the year and the battery is getting a little worn.

@frankm I am quite happy with my Pixel 4. A slightly bigger screen in the same size phone because they reduced the bezels and enough battery for my uses. As long as the 4 keeps getting updates I don't see a reason for a change any time soon.

@joelhamill That was my point of view with the Pixel 2, but now after Android 11 will no longer get OS updates and its take a little physical damage so it's time for a replacement. I am happy for a lower cost option, I personally have difficulty spending ~$1K for a smartphone. If Google had not some out with the A series I likely would be buying a non-Pixel phone or an "older" premium when on sale. I've read a fair number of complaints about the Pixel 4.
