Face mask factory starts up in Indiana. Cleanxa is making personal use washable masks, face shields and gowns here in the USA. Looks like they are selling online to the public.

@bradenslen Interesting! It would be great to have a reliable US source.

Curiously, I see mention of a melt-blown filter medium but no claims about filtering performance. How does this compare to an N95 mask, for example?

@fgtech They state on the individual product page for each mask that these are not N95 masks. These are probably in the dust mask category.

But considering that the surgical style masks (the pleated disposable ones) you see on Amazon are not real surgical masks, but rather dust masks being pressed into service these might be better if they fit tighter.

Since they do have a disposable melt-blown filter, I'm guessing they are better than a homemade mask made out of t-shirts and broadcloth or a bandana. I think the intent is to provide the public with something a bit better than homemade, to wear to the store. Especially since more stores are requiring masks. Also some first responders seem short on masks so something is better than nothing.

I've got several masks on order via Amazon. Similar design, with disposable filter element just like these. The problem is most of the ones on Amazon are shipping direct from China, with an estimated delivery of 3 to 4 weeks out. That doesn't help much in the short term - if they arrive. So if these made in USA masks can arrive quicker, there is a lot to be said for that which is why I posted the link.

I forsee, we are going to hit a transition time, where the lockdown restrictions will be eased in places, and some retail businesses will be allowed to open their doors. That's the time when more masks will be required of both employees and customers. Finding a solution now helps everyone, because the public is not going to see N95 masks available for a very long time.

@joejenett Cool. I hope they work out. Please let me know how long they take to arrive and how they work out for you. I hate recommending things I've never used.

@joejenett That's good shipping. People ordering masks need them like now. It seems they understand that.
