@joaopinheiro It’s hard to get me to step outside my comfort zone of good old rock, but sometimes I let myself be surprised! 😉

@joao No, I don’t use any music streaming services.
I only use my computer with Bluetooth speakers.
Or a radio station from Moncton, New Brunswick, because they have a good selection that suits my tastes and “almost no commercials.” But generally speaking, when it comes to my local music, I have over 38,000 MP3s or FLAC files on my computer.

@chatkipete I don’t want to seem Inconvenient but, if you’re not familiar with Bandcamp, let me just tell you that it’s not exactly a streaming service. It’s more like a shop where artists sell their music directly too their public, allowing them to listen to it before. Artists are paid properly and there’s no publicity or user data theft!

@joao Thank you but it has nothing to do with advertisements or anything else. I'm just not interested in anything online except chatting here. The smartphone, I don't like, I only use it to talk, I don't respond to the text on for the doctor's appointments. Do you understand what I want to explain?

I encourage local artists, I pay to see comedy shows but "online" I simply have no interest in it online.

@chatkipete Yes, I do understand that and I totally support it! That’s what I think everybody should do. In my case, since Portugal is a different reality (your “local” will probably be like my “national”), Bandcamp has allowed me to buy Portuguese artists’ records and support their work.

@chatkipete Do you still have record shops near you? Here, the nearest is 70 kms away! There are, actually, two at the same distance in different cities! It’s so sad! Let me ask you something. I’ve studied French at school and I like it a lot although I’ve lost my capacity of speaking it fluently. Since you live in Quebec, do artists there keep on producing good music in French or have they also started to sing almost only in English?
