While I dearly loved The West Wing as television drama, I feel like it has so warped people’s understanding of how US politics work and what is possible that it might be better had the show never existed.
@petebrown Absolutely agree. I see it referenced way too much in relevance to real world situations. Especially by moderate Democrats.
@petebrown I have thought the exact same thing. I was very late to watching the show, just within the last few years, and multiple times I muttered “this show was a mistake.”
